Dexter at Bay Harbor Islands Hotel
On the very first episode of this smash-hit series, Dexter is riding down Ocean Drive en route to a crime scene. Before he gets to his blood work, we see the sign for Crescent Resort, which is located at 1420 Ocean Dr. Before you make your way to Miami Beach, you can take a moment to reminisce about the simplicity of Season One (at least until the gut-wrenching twists and turns began).

Cruising down memory lane, another fun Dexter filming location is the Seven Seas Motel, located at 5940 Biscayne Boulevard, where we encounter the show's first victim by the pool. Some may call this a macabre stop, but the true fans will probably embrace their own "dark passenger" – as Dexter would say. Back on Ocean Drive, you can stop in at Colony Hotel & Johnny Rockets, part of a pivotal plot turn involving Deb Morgan and the Ice Truck Killer.

As more of a recreational stop on your TV tour, venture out to Bayfront Park and stroll outside the city for a behind-the-scenes look at where Dexter and Rita shared some intimate conversations. As a fun Dexter-themed attraction, this Biscayne Boulevard park was featured in the show several times. Plus, it happens to be the perfect hotspot nestled in the heart of Miami. Want to see more of the city? Bicentennial Park, located at 1075 Biscayne Boulevard, offers a uniquely spectactular view of the Miami skyline - a shot leveraged by the show in a flashback scene.

And, about 20 miles from our hotel, you can have a day at the beach at a beautiful Dexter filming location in Ft. Lauderdale. Pack your blanket and cooler to check out Ft. Lauderdale Beach Park, located at 1100 Seabreeze Boulevard. You can enjoy Florida's sugar-white shore as you behold the very place Dexter flashbacked to family vacations.

And then there's the Dexter House. Before the Dexter series finale, you can witness where the Bay Harbor Butcher supposedly sleeps. What better way to say goodbye to the show's eighth and final season than a trip to 8240 Palm Terrace, apartment #10B?
