Although Miami might not see many white Christmases, the city still knows how to get into the holiday spirit. Across the region, the city lights up for the month of December. Many of the best Christmas light displays are conveniently located close to our hotel, so you can enjoy a festive Miami getaway this winter. 

Zoo Lights at Zoo Miami
There's something for everyone during Zoo Lights, the annual holiday festival at Zoo Miami. See giant animal-shaped lights in the form of giraffes, gorillas and tigers, listen to joyous holiday music and take a turn on the ice skating rink. On the weekends, visitors can watch animals open special presents during the Holiday Gifts for Animals program.

Holiday Fantasy of Lights at Tradewinds Park
A local holiday tradition now in its 21st year, the Holiday Fantasy of Lights is a must-see for anyone who loves the Christmas season. Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek transforms into a three-mile winter wonderland. This drive-through attraction winds through towering holiday displays including thousands of lights and illuminated trees. It's open nightly right through New Year's Eve.

Wild Holidays at Jungle Island
An interactive theme park featuring exotic wildlife like parrots, monkeys and lemurs, Jungle Island is especially fun to visit during Christmastime. Wild Holidays lets you explore the Candy Cane Jungle, see holiday-themed animal shows and experience a daily animal parade set to seasonal music.

Holiday Wonderland at Deering Estate
This nature preserve offers tours of historic houses and over 400-acres of lush grounds. Throughout the month of December, the estate transforms into Deering Holiday Wonderland, a Yuletide extravaganza featuring elaborate decorations. They host holiday story times for the kids that include a visit by Old St. Nick.
